Here is the information that I know about the Trubys you are talking about. When I was younger, my best friend was Terry Truby, her father Colin Truby took us to a place called Centerville Iowa for something called Pancake days. Colin was born in a town called Bolivia Iowa which I believe is very close to Mystic Iowa. So since Colin was born there I am sure this is the brother you are looking for. I do know that Colins'parents moved to Blue Grass Iowa and farmed there at least up until the 1970s or so even later. I am sure they are buried in Blue Grass Iowa. Infact, I met him a few times while growing up. Joseph is passed and his son Colin has passed and are buried in Blue grass Iowa. I know Joseph had another son. And he is still living. The children of Colin are 3 girls, Terry,Penney, and Melissa and there are grand children to Colin, they are Adopted daughter of Terry, adopted in Scott County, by Judge Havercamp in 1978 but I don't really remember her name and a girl named Courtney and a boy named Seth. Penny had a boy named Max and Melissa had a girl named Savannah. There are Trubys in the Scott county area but there are not very many. Terry Truby married Terry Cook. Thats about all I know. But as I have said, I am so positive that Joseph is my friend Terrys grandfather and he lived and farmed in Blue Grass Iowa. He used to bring his horse and wagon back in the early 60's to my friend Terrys house and give all the neighbor children rides in the buggy. Also his son Colin owned a sheet metal business in Blue Grass but he sold it after his wife Pat died of Cancer. Well I hope these names and places gave you something to go on. Check out the Scott County census for Iowa I am sure you will find them there.
