Please forgive me if I have contacted you before on your PERRY / TRUAX line. It's a confusing mess I have here, but your information matches most of mine so far.
Here is my dilemma:
We both have the same information on SILAS PERRY, son of George Perry Sr. and Nancy Rogers.
Silas married JANE ASWELL on 10/29/1840, Wilkinson Co., MS.
In the 1850 Wilkinson Co., MS Census, it shows that GEORGE PERRY and his wife, MATILDA TRUAX, were living next door to George's brother, SILAS PERRY and his wife, JANE ASWELL.
This census also clearly shows that a WILLIAM ASWELL, born 1829, MS, was living in the same household as GEORGE PERRY and MATILDA TRUAX and their children, Sarah J., David, Murdock and Thomas.
Then...I found a marriage record for WILLIAM ASWELL and ELIZA PERRY on 2/24/1858, Woodville, Wilkinson Co., MS.
I have been unsuccessful in connecting this WILLIAM ASWELL to the JANE ASWELL who married SILAS PERRY. They have to be related...there is no doubt about it.
I am left to assume that ELIZA PERRY might be a daughter of one of George and Silas' brothers; John Perry, b.1802, David Carradine Perry, b.1810, or Amos Elias Perry, b.5/18/1818 (twin of George).
Do you have anything on an ELIZA PERRY...or ELIZABETH PERRY, who would have to have been born about 1829??
The Aswell family has many ties to Mississippi, including Maben, Starkville and Warren County. There are also AZWELL's (with a "Z") in Warren County in 1850.
I'm totally lost...just hoping that you may have come across something that could give me another lead!
Thanks in advance,
