The Work of Death
Jacob Lewis Troxell
Jacob Lewis Troxell, a well-known resident of the county, died at his home in Graceham this morning at 10:30 o'clock from paralysis, having suffered a stroke about three weeks ago from which he never regained consciousness. He was in his 71st year. Mr. Troxell lived in the county all his life, and was born in the vicinity of Emmitsburg. He retired from farming last spring. Ever since a young man, he was a member and worker of Apple's Reformed church. In politics he was a Democrat and for years served as a road supervisor. Besides his wife he leaves thirteen children, as follows: Russel, of Philadelphia; Lester and John, of Detour; Mrs. Herbert Angell, Mrs. Maude - (as shown in paper) and Miss Lottie Troxell, all of Philadelphia; William, of Baltimore; Charles, of Camp Meade; Mrs. Lester Fox of Graceham; Misses Julia and Beulah and Calvin and Carl Troxell, at home. One brother, Samuel Troxell, of Emmitsburg, also survive. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. K. G. Putman of Walkersville, is the undertaker.
