George TROUT 1729-1809 of East Amwell Twp, NJ
Posted by: Craig Trout (ID *****3726) Date: March 31, 2007 at 13:46:06
  of 1964

George TROUT 1729-1809 of East Amwell Twp, Hunterdon, NJ and wife Johanna “Hannah” LEQUIER had two sons, John and George, as well as nine daughters. George TROUT, a saddletree maker by trade, owned land in Ringoes, East Amwell Twp, NJ as early as 1753, but by about 1800, had moved several miles NNE to Raritan Twp, Hunterdon, NJ where he died in 1809.

Emerging research strongly suggests that George TROUT was one and the same as Hans Georg TRAUT, Jr., of Germantown, Philadelphia, and thereby connected to the TRAUT Brethren who can trace their roots back to the Frankenthal, Germany region prior to 1708.

George TROUT is listed as Line #6 in our TROUT-DNA Research Project, and we are extremely interested in determining his relationship to other known TROUT lines, as well as validating his parents.

Please contact me directly at < craigtrout@aol.com > if you know of a male TROUT descendant of George TROUT of Amwell Twp, Hunterdon, NJ who may be interested in our research efforts.

All good wishes,
Craig
