Dear Cheryl,
I, too, am researching the Ohio / Indiana Trousdale's or Trousdail's.
My Trousdale ancestor is John F. Trousdale -b: c 1814 somewhere in Ohio and was married in 1839 in Jennings County, Indiana.
So far I have information found online, which indicates that a William Trousdale and a Thomas Trousdail, probably brother's from Pennsylvania, purchased parcels of Ohio land from a Judge Symmes (circa 1787 to 1803). It may be that one of the above named Trousdale's is the father of your James V. Trousdale.
I do have many more leads which I am following up on and I would love to share what I have found with you - as we may have ancestor's in common.
If you are interested - please email me.
Judy Mills Boie
