Carla, I have one picture of Matthew. He has white hair and a long white beard. I would love to have another photo of him. I will be happy to share the one I have with you. I don't have any stories or articles on him. I would love to have a copy of that too.

All I know about him is that he fought in the Civil War in a Tennessee regiment. He lived to be 96, had diabetes and was almost blind at his death. He would come to visit at my father's home in Belton, TX from nearby Lampasas. But, Daddy was just a little kid at the time and didn't know much about him. Dad's mother, Leona Cowan Dillard, was his granddaughter.

I have photos of his and Louisa's headstone. There is one nearby that spells their name Trusell like you do.
