My question is if these people were also known as Andrew View b. Canada abt 1795 and died in the Oswego NY area nearly 100 years later and wife Mary Unknown ,died sometime before 1850.
Their children were Joseph View, Andrew View, Francis/Frank View, Louis/Lewis/Levi View,Michel/Mitchell View, Benjamin View, etc. I have suspected this for many years but I have nothing to prove it.
Does anyone have names of the children for M. Magdeleine Trottier and Andre Viau?
My understanding is the name was changed to VIEW when crossing/arriving from Canada to New York.
