Thanks Kim, but the Benjamin you mention is definitely a different one.The Woolwich Trotts seem to be an entirely different line from the Washington County crew.The Woolwichers trace directly to Thomas Trott of Wethersfield, as I understand it, while the Perry Trotts are descendants of a Trott, probably John, who held land in the "Magebaggadeuse" (Castine) as of 1762.They went with the Penobscot Loyalists to New Brunswick in 1783/4 and most of their surviving descendants moved back to Maine by 1806 or so.My Benjamin was almost certainly a son of one of these men, probably of Samuel or John.
