I come from a humble line of Trotmans probably farm labourer's, from Woodford, Gloucestershire. I have just finished my book or record of The Trotmans of Woodford,1827-2008. My new quest now is to track down the parents of Anthony Trotman to see if there is any connection with the William Trotman who fought at the 'Battle of Trafalgar'or any other Trotmans I may have missed over the last four years. As a quick guide to the families movements since 1859. William Trotman moves from Woodford to Gosport, Hants and then in the 1870's to Sunderland Co.Durham, by 1945 most of the family moved south. With me I am nearly back at Gosport. Looking forward to some help. Keith Trotman.
