we must be related as my mother talked about the Hornbuckles , and she said she lived with Charlie Troutman for awhile. Lennie Mae Troutman was her mother and after her death she was bounced around from realitive to realitive and friends , whoever would take care of her. She talks about who she calle uncle Bobbie and Uncle Sidney Johnson and tells the story about when uncle Bobbie knew he was going to die he made Sidney go to town and by him a pair of shoes so he could die with shoes and and requested he be barried in them. I guess he never wore shoe much. Being pretty poor. I have over time dug up bits of information about the Johnsons and Trotmans . Its been hard as its been so many years ago and mom is getting up there and her memory is fading. Mom used to tell me her mothers maidin name was Lennie Mae Smith but that was not true , I found out and she used to talk about aunt Johnnie Ratliff who lived in Blossom TX and said it was her mothere sister , which I doubt very much as I now believe because of her age it was Alice Johnson sister. Alice being Lennie Mae Trotmans Mother. and I Believe Dewey, Sidney, Bobbie, Mary , Myrtle and others are brothers and sister ( total of 8 siblings. ) I have Lennie Mae Trotmans old family Bible. with a lot of names and dates recorded in it. Love to compare notes.
