Hi Joshua - Your great grandfather would be my great uncle. I have been researching the family since 2001. My great grandfather was August, Gustav's brother. I don't know how much you know about the family, but I have gathered quite a bit of information. I know Gustav had 5 sons, last name Smith, so I would assume one of them belongs in your line. Are you doing research also? My great grandfather had lost track of Gustav for years, since his lifestyle was so unorthodox! Then they found one another and corresponded for some years. I have copies of the letters Gustav wrote. If you are interested in more details, I would like to hear from you.
