Hi Marg,
Yesyou are right. I knew about those children. John J. was my Grandfather. He lived with us before his death in 1937. Mary Ann was his younger sister. The Nancy in this census was my Nancy Ann Logan Tritt's Stepmothr. James J. Logan was the fathr of my Nancy Ann Logan Tritt.. They lived here at that time only about 8 miles from where I now live. Where was Nancy Ann Logan Tritt in that census? She had married Davault/ Devault T. Tritt in Union Co. in 1853.He supposedly did dring the war. Also she had a younger child in 1861/2 William Beauregard Tritt, called Will. Where was he in 1870? Mary Ann and Will went to Alabama just after 1880 where they both were married. She seems to disappear after 1900 but Will lived and reared his family in Al. He lived tere until his death.
No record can be found in any census of the Mother or Father, except in ther respective families in 1850. This is my brick wall. Someone please find Nancy Ann Logan and Davault T. Tritt??????? According to my Father there was n older sister of my Grandfather John Jefferson Tritt who I have never found.
