I have him b.22 Dec 1833 and m. to Sophia Catherine Kierstead 26 Aug 1861. Their daughter, my husband's grandmother, Emma Laura Trites, was b. 15 Jul 1866 in Canada (I think near Belleisle, NS) so Lewis Trites probably died there. Incidentally I find it strange that this site does not have Gesner or Kierstead message boards. There is so much info on both. (Emma Laura Trites m. M. A.
