Jeanne E. Trisler

Jeanne Elizabeth Trisler, 86, Converse, died at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday (May 8, 2007) at Wabash County Hospital.
Mrs. Trisler and her husband had owned the Canal House antique store in Wabash since 1962. She had previously worked at the Wabash Cabinet Company and General Tire, and also owned her own drapery business. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wabash and a former member of the Time Out for Crafts Club and several card clubs.
She was a 1939 graduate of Linlawn High School.
She was born Jan. 20, 1921, in Levings, Ill., a daughter of John and Delphine Sommers Murphy. She married Roy Trisler June 23, 1939, in Wabash. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Pamela Drook of Converse; a son, Thomas Trisler of Andrews; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A brother, Nevin Murphy, is deceased.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Howard Cherry officiating. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
