I guess I have the dubious distinction to be the first to post under this name. My great grandmother was a TRIPPLE from Philadelphia. I take her back to my 4th great-grandparents, Anthony TRIPPLE (1782-07/24/1863) & his wife Mary (11/27/1792-11/06/1854). They lived and died in Philly. I am looking for info about this family.
I have quite a bit on their children and their descendents, but I do not know who mary was or who Anthony's parents were. I wonder if he was a son of Conrad TRIPPLE (also spelled TRIPPEL) who came to the US from London on 09/21/1773 on the Ship Catharine. I think there were TRIPPLEs in Lancaster Co. before they showed up in Philly, so I also wonder if Anthony came from that clan.
All info will surely be appreciated.
