Hi Victor,
I have not looked into the TRIPP surname except to find
those who might be of Native heritage.
My own line starts (I think) in VA, altho I have yet to make ANY connections AND, believe that it is a difficult one, as I am convinced that those who chose to pass for
white will never be found.
The interesting thing about the DAVID found in NY, is that
this is where my immediate family hails from in Westchester Co; ALSO, the JOHNSONS next door to DAVID, are
most likely NativeAmerican and are listed as coming from
NC where my ggrands were.
I have not looked into the origin of the TRIPP surname but
it would not surprise me if it too, were of Native beginnings----------ALSO, you must keep in mind, that many
Natives were given the designation of Black.
