Triplett is with out a doubt a European name with variations in France and England of Triplet, Triplot,Tripplot,Tripplet, Tryplet and Tripolet.Check out IGI`s worldwide !
A Robert Tripolet is mentioned in thecartulary of Launceston priory, Cornwall in 1295 ad.In the 1500`s the name crops up in muster rolls and tax rolls in Cornwall.
A Thomas Triplett is buried in Westminster Abbey,London in 1670.
The exact meaning of the word TRIPLETT I`am not sure.
