John Calvin Triplett md. Mary E Hall
John Calvin TRIPLETT (Daniel Triplett6, Jesse Triplett5, Daniel Triplett4, Francis Triplett3, Francis Triplett2, Francis Triplett1) was born 1824 in Wilkes County, North Carolina, according to various sources, and died 21 March 1916 at Branchland in Lincoln County, West Virginia of “rheumatism”, according to West Virginia Vital Research Records. [However, several census records indicate that he was born in Virginia; his parents were born in North Carolina.] John C. TRIPLETT possibly was married three times.
He married Mary Emeline HALL 26 November 1849, the daughter of David HALL and Anna JOHNSON. She is listed in the 1850 census as still living in the household of her parents and the column “Married within the year” is not checked. It seemed at first doubtful that this marriage took place, at least not in 1849.] However, John Triplett’s parents, his brother Bryant, and his uncle Wilson Triplett all lived in the same area as the Hall family so proximity is established.
