Paula,
You don't know me; I am a fellow genealogist. If you still have file photos of the headstones of Alexander and Margaret (Riley) Trinkle, I would love to have them.My interest in them comes from the 1850 Clay Co., IL census.Alexander and Margaret are listed in the home of Johnathan Riley (b. abt. 1820, IN).Johnathan was my gg grandfather.I have been unable to obtain any evidence that proves who his parents were.(There are many theories, but so far the only thing I have accomplished is to either disprove the theories or raise serious doubts about them.)
So, I have turned to trying to trace co-lateral relatives. Most people think Margaret must have been a sister to Johnathan, which is a reasonable guess.I am trying to learn as much about Margaret as I can.If you can attach a picture file to your e-mail, I would really appreciate receiving the photos.
If you know of anyone who might be interested in combining efforts with me to trace the ancestry of Margaret (Riley) Trinkle, I would certainly like to make contact with them. There is serious question about the story circulating on the internet that Johnathan's and Margaret's parents were William and Thirsey (Brooks) Riley. While that is still possible, I have rather complicated DNA results that indicates either one or both of them were NOT related to William and Thirsey Riley.I can share that information with anyone who wishes to "wade into it."

Thank you,
Glenn
