Elaine, you and I are cousins.I also descend from James Trimble "the Plantationer," who initially settled in the North Mountain area of what is now Staunton, Virginia.I have visited Staunton on several occasions .... there are many "proofs" of our Trimble heritage there.James'son, Joseph Trimble, is my ancestor.Joseph moved to Georgia ... where the rest of my family has remained. My ancestry is as follows:James-8, Joseph-7, William-6, Augustus Crawford-5, William Wiley-4, George Layton-3, George Layton-2, James-1.It's my understanding that James and Grace were actually married in Newcastle upon Tyne, Scottish-English border city, prior to migrating to Northern Ireland(or they came back from Northern Ireland and married there).I have lots of information on our family. Please let me know if you are interested. I would love to hear from you.
