John Trigwell (Transported to Tasmania 1837)

Hi, could anyone from the Trigwell Family Forum help. I have been tracing my family tree and have I believe discovered that my great great great grandad John Trigwell b.1798 who was married to one Caroline Towner was transported to Hobart on the "Susan" in 1837.

He was tried at Sussex in the same year and was sentanced to 7 years, What I am trying to find out is if anyone out there could tell me what he was sentenced for and if after his sentence was complete did he stay out in Austarlia or did he return to Britain?
