Triggs Researchers - This is FYI. I looked into a record at the St. Barnabus Church in Prince Georges Co., MD because some Friggs/Frakes family researchers thought it was for one of their own....they were wrong, it is for a colonial Triggs family. Details below: From the Archives of Maryland Online, Guide to Special Collections, at URL http://speccol.mdarchives.state.md.us/msa/speccol/catalog/cfm…: “St. Barnabus Church, Queen Anne Parish, Protestant Episcopal, Prince Georges County, Leeland: Collection MSA SC 2667: Film No. M 687: The Vestry minutes and accounts 1705-1773 and parish register 1686-1777, births 1686-1777, marriages 1703-1771.” (tells us where the originals, or photographs of the originals, are made available for researchers to see.) From email dated Sunday November 23, 2003, from John Lyon to Charles Frakes, subject: Two More Henry Freake/Freaks Items at the Maryland Archives. “Copy from MSA film M 687, pg. 21 attached. The final entry at the bottom is for [Jere]miah, the son of Clement Trigg and wife Sarah. This film is just awful along its edge, but there would be little doubt about this being “Trigg”, and a few other entries in MD probate appear for Clement Trigg in the same period, as a debtor…The page shows no capital F names, but has several February birth dates. The scribe wrote his F quite differently from his T. No question about the name.” If anyone wants a .jpg of this source document feel free to contact me.
