William: Thank you for your informative reply.Do you know where each of these people were born and who their wives were? I have connected each of these people with a line of descendants from a line beginning with William Trick from Bideford, Devon, England - born 1777. A Virgil E. Trick was passing through Fishers (a suburb of Indianapolis), Indiana a couple of years ago and contacted my father (Virgil F. Trick) and wanted to stop by. They look quite a bit alike. His line went William (1777) -Thomas (1803) - William (1832)- Thomas - Virgil E. Trick. My parents and I live in Fishers, Indiana. We descend from the Johann H. Trick (originally spelled with a "u" instead of an "i" and an umlatte or double dot over the "u" which sounded like Trick in German. Johann or John came from Wurtenburg to New York City to Preble Co., OH and my line came to Anderson, Indiana around 1922. Anderson is about 30 miles from Indianapolis with Fishers in between.
