The Trezevant building was named for Dr. Daniel Heyward Trezevant who is well known for his large contributions to the State Hospital, as well as, his published description of the burning of Columbia by Sherman's Troops. The Trezevant name comes into the Wigfall family when Elizabeth Martha Trezevant (dau. of Theodore, son of Theodore, son of Daniel) married on 21 Jan 1775 James Hamden Thomson and their child, Eliza Thomson married Levi Durand Wigfall. Levi is son of Joseph and Susannah Durand Wigfall, and grandson of Rev. Levi Durand and Susannah Boone. I believe she is related to Gov. Thomas Boone. I'm not sure if any of Levi's descendants married back into the Trezevant line. Good luck.
