My grandfather was Ananais. He was a brother to Milton. Their father was Carroll J. Roe b. 1842 Illinois married to Mary Jane Pope b. 1837 Kentucky. The children in order were:
Marion b.3-29-1864 d.3-7-1946 m.Marhta Brown 3-10-1886 Cristian County IL. Ananais b. 3-29-1866 d.12-13-1938 m. Rosetta Harrison 2-05-1888 m. Anna Kate Kalina 1908? Asbury b.1871 d.? m. Sarah Irene Branum 11-27,1887 Fayette County, IL. Milton b. 1872 d. ? m. Elizabeth Trexler 12-07-1895 Fayette County, IL. Willis b. 1873 d. ? Ozias b.12-06-1874 d. 7-23-1941 m. Mary Trexler 8-29-1893 Fayette County, IL. Edward b. 1877 d. ? m. Minnie Fires 3-11-1899 Massac County, IL. 2nd. wife ? Dora Ellen b. ? d. ? she was youngest in family. m. John H. Wall 9-16-1899 Bond County, IL.
All the boys & Dora were born in Fayette County, IL.

This is going backwards but Carroll J. Roe father was William Roe b. 1814 Tenn. m. Nancy b.1819 Kentucky their children were:
Artie b. 1833 Kentucky d. ? William b. 1834 Kentucky d. ? John b. 1837 Arkansas d. ? Carroll b. 1842 Illinois d. ? Margaret b. 1845 Illinois d. ? Matilda b. 1847 Illinois d. ? These dates could be off by a year since I found William on the 1850 census Fayette County, IL. & used the age that was on there to come up with birth date. They could have been asked the age at next birthday.

Just last week I located some relatives & I have arranged a meeting with them May 16th so hopefully I will get some more dates & names filled in. I have some more names but don't know where they go or if they belong. I will let you know what I find out. Really glad to find someone I am related to. Would appreciate anything that you can add to this. If you want to e mail me maybe we can exchange addresses & family names with each other. Don't want to put people still living in this kind of message.
