As an afterthought, any information about where John and Elizabeth lived in NC and how they got there would be interesting as well. I have relatives that currently live in the Asheville, NC area, and I have also lived in that area at different times. I have a broken line that I would like to be able to tie together, as the information I have found suggests that my family descends from the Conrad Drechsler family that lived in the Palatine region of Germany in the 1600's, but I haven't yet found solid evidence that provides that information. It appears that Conrad had children (or grandchildren) that made their way from Germany to the USA (Pennsylvania) inthe early 1700's, then moved to NC sometime in the mid to late 1700's. Would like to be able to tie this in with my ancestors (John and Elizabeth) who were from NC.
