Interesting. William Trevore was a hired man on the Mayflower. He was hired to work for one year and he went back to England in 1621 on the Fortune. While he was in Plymouth, he went for a trip with Miles Standish to Boston Harbor where Miles named an island in Boston Harbor after him, Trevore Island. Later in 1626, David Thompson came to America and opened an Indian trading post on Trevore island which was from that day until today then named Thompson Island. After William Trevore returned to England he became the Captain of a ship that worked the England to New England route. There is also reference that Captain Trevore helped David Thompson acquire the island in Boston Harbor now called Thompson Island. Furthermore, David Thompson had a son John Thompson who married in England Sarah Trevore. They immigrated to Medield, MA and had several children there. Could this Sarah Trevore be Captain William Trevore, the Mayflower passenger's daughter?? I think its likely! I'd appreciate any other data or thoughts!
