I am begining my research on my family history. I have a very large family consisting of 80 people(this includes aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, mother, and nieces, nephews). We are a VERY close family, close enough that we have a Treviņo family reunion every year...cant tell you where cause we alternate every year....we have had them in Valle Hermoso, Tamps, Mex--Edinburgh, Tx---Houston, Tx--and the next on is scheduled for Baytown, Tx in the summer of 2002.
The reason I am telling everyone all this....is that despite the closeness of my family....none of us has a real defined history of our family...and I would like for the next reunion--to surprise them with at least a hint of our history. The following is what I have been able to gather from my mom::::::::
Eulalia Hernandez(my grandmother) was born to Luis Hernandez and Eulali(???) sometime in February of either 1926 or 27. They had 7 other children.....Nestora, Mercedes, Maria, Oralia, Bracilio, Nicolas, and Dario....I believe they were all from Hidalgo, Mex.
Pedro Treviņo(My grandfather) was born to Cipriano Treviņo Villarreal and Guadalupe Rodriguez Cantu on April 29, 1919.....d. 09-16-1975. He had several brothers and sisters.....Bonifacio, Nazario, Maria Ambrosia, San Juana, Faustino, and Nemecia. What I do know for sure is that my grandfather was born in Robstown, Tx.
From what I have read in several different boards....I understand that there is still a strong Treviņo presence in Robstown...If anyone can help me---please email me at MECHAPA1222@aol.com.
