I am trying to do a little work on a Trevethan line.I am hoping the information that you have been gathering will be of some help in identifying a John Trevethan who died at 20 years of age in Amador City, Amador County, California. His tombstone is in the cit cemetery there.I believe he died in 1872 but that is approximate since the stone is quite weathered in this area.It is a very elaborate stone set within a gated grave, with a lovely poem inscribed:someone cared deeply for this felow. This was during the height of the gold rush period so I am assuming this fellow was a miner, probably from Cornwall as were my miner relatives who came to California.I will try to get more information but I was hoping this might ring some bells.
