Joseph Trevelli was my grandfather, whom I know nothing about. He emigrated from Provincia de Navarro, Italy, around 1840, to the United States. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1860. He lived/worked/owned several businesses in and around Palisade, Nevada...and Mineral Hill, Nevada during the late 1800s. He passed away in Palisade, NV in 1911. He and my grandmother, Maggie Cortez, were never married, but had 3 children...James, William (Bill, my father) and Hattie. I would be grateful for any information regarding my grandfather, as I am trying to put together a family genealogy for my daughter. My father was not any help in giving me info. on my grandfather...he just always said that he was "Swiss-Italian". Apparently my grandmother and grandfather left each other, and she took the children with her. She never married, and raised the children herself, in Mineral Hill, and then San Francisco, CA. I am trying to find relatives of Joseph Trevelli...both in Italy and here in America. If anyone hasANY information, please help. I would love for my daughter to know/realize her Italian heratage. "Milli Gratzi"? Thank you so much. Please contact me at
