Thank you, Scott! So much good info...I didn't know that James Trent married again to Judy Brown.
Here is the entry for Evaline, taken from "Franklin Co., VA Death Records, 1853-1896", ab. by Nell Hailey, 1996:
"Trent, Evaline A. (white female) d. 21 Jun 1892 Franklin Co of consumption, aged 63yr, b. Franklin Co, sp of William Trent, William Trent husband reptd"
I haven't seen "Sr." connected with this William's name. I also wondered if Evaline might have married William, Jr., son of William H. and Rebecca (Cumby) Trent. Do you know who he married, Scott? But Evaline's husband was 58 in 1870 and 80 in 1880. William, Jr. should have been about 40 in 1870 and 50 in 1880. Just for the record, Evaline's first husband, G. W. Young, was much older than she was, also. (He was listed as 61 in 1860, and she was 33.)
