I somehow missed this posting and have just run across it.

I've been away from my Trent research for awhile, but I thought that Mina was married to a William Barnett Finch? Is Barnabus a nickname, or is that supposed to be William Barnabus Finch?

As for Patrick RATEKIN, it's hard to say where he came from. It's likely that the 1784 record relates to Patrick, Jr. married to Rachel BEST. Patrick, Jr. would then be a brother-in-law to Elijah.

One possibility is that William is an older brother to Nancy, and that Sally Blankenship is a younger sister to Joel.

Do you know if any conclusions have been drawn as to the parents of Elijah Trent (married to Sarah Ratekin)?
