Caroline Marie Luise Trentteman / Trentelman m. Gerling

Looking for her parents, brothers and sisters and correct spelling of her name. She is married into my Gerling ancestry who were German. I have seen other researchers type Trendelman for this name so thought I would post here. I have not Trentelman info other than what I am posting here but am seeking more info on this family!

Info copied from "An Illustrated History of Klickitat, Yakima and Kittitas Counties", (Counties in Washington State) Interstate Publishing Company, 1904, Chicago, Illinois

this Frenderick Wilhelm Gerling b. Westphalia, Kingdom of Prussia (now Germany) is my great great grandfather and I have an elderly photograph of him posed with my grandmother Mary Hilda (Huot) Barrett daughter of Lincoln Huot and Oma (Gerling) Huot. I think this might be a typeo for the spelling of Marie's last name but can't be certain until I obtain more records:

"FRED W. GERLING, the owner of a 960-acre ranch in Klickitat county, fourteen miles east and six south of the city of Goldendale,Washington was born in Germany, June 21, 1840. His father, Fred W. Gerling, was likewise a German, and a farmer by occupation. He came to the United States in 1857 but not liking the country, returned home, where he died in 1895, at the age of eighty-six. Our subject's mother, whose maiden name was Mary Trentteman, was also a native of Germany. She died in 1851, after having become the mother of eight children. Fred W., whose life is here chronicled, received his education in the German schools. Leaving home at the age of fifteen, he crossed the Atlantic to New York, went thence to Wisconsin, and for four years worked in a sawmill there....."

Info from Alan Gerling via email July 2003 thank you!
