Hi, I have a fair bit of information about Trenchards from Crewkerne but am stuck. I believe the George baptised in South Petherton may be the son of John Trenchard and Rebecca nee Draper - if that is so I would be very interested in how you have made the connection of where John came from - it would help me a lot please.

Keith - my Grandfather, Victor William, moved to Southampton when the family butchers shop was closed on the death of his Father in about 1911. Grreat grandmother, Meriana, took her sons, Victor, James and Jack and moved in with her married daughter in Denzil Avenue. Jack lived there all his life, my grandad moved to Bournemouth and James moved to Essex -0 James married Lilian Bement, his forst cousin and they had no children.

There may be a connection but I am not sure where at the moment.

David Trenchard
