Sophia Treman's sister Chestina b. 1796(verified by Jared's will as read by Gilbert Treman Smith) married James Carley in 1813. They lived in Jacksonville south of Trumansburg. Their child and my ancestor was James Minor Carley b. 1815. James died in a jumping accident during a family picnic in 1817. Chestina married (2) Soloman Smith abt 1820. They removed to Jobs Corners,Tioga Co,Penn. She had a large family. They were also living on Willow Creek with Chestina's mother Elizabeth in the Census of 1850. Chestina took ownership of the Jobs Corners Farm in 1862 by will of Soloman Smith. Carley family then lived on the farm until 1953. Chestina died in 1887. No public records yet found for Chestina and James- they are buried in Jobs Corners Cemetery. Poole Genealogy of Tremaines leaves out several of Jared's children subsequently found by Gilbert Smith.
