Hi Marc - Yes you are a little younger. I have a son (my youngest) who just turned 40 on Christmas Day. No I guess we are not related but my family did leave Fowey on April 14, 1855 and arrived May 19 and were then put into quarentine. This family must be related to mine. I would like their email address - or did you give it to me. I also will try to open up the links you gave me. I am always doing something crazy to my computer though, so I am leary about opening these links. I will give it a try.
About 50 of us from the Toronto area went to Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall about 5 years ago on a lawn bowling tour. When I arrived in Cornwall I had the funniest feeling that I belonged there. It was really unusual. I felt very at home in that part of England. My mother's family left from Land's End to make the trip to Canada. I don't know very much about them except of course there name was Cooper (which I understand were barrel makers of a sort).
We had a wonderful time on that tour. I loved the country and scenery and the people.
Well, bye for now.
