Yes!I am just getting into researching the Treiber's in Monroe County, OH.I don't know when they got here exactly, but I know that my gr-gr-gr grandfather was Lewis Treiber, married to Doratha or Dorathy, depending on the census year.He was from Alsace-Lorraine, and on the census info in the early years like 1860 and 1870 he was listed as coming from France and in the later years he was listed as coming from Germany. His death record at the Monroe County Courthouse in Woodsfield shows his death in 1881.His youngest son, Henry, is my gr-gr grandfather, who married Elizabeth (who is listed as having come from Germany).Their daughter Emma is my gr-grandmother.She was born in West Virginia, but they came back to the Clarington, OH area to live on a farm there up in the hills, apparently, until she married and moved to the Youngstown, OH area where she had my grandfather. It would be great to compare notes if you are still around because I have pictures of the Treibers in this area that I do not know who they are and you are the first person I have found that has additional information on the Treibers in this area. Please contact me with any additional information. Thanks so much!!
