Israel irwin, KY & wife, Margaret Trego / daughter Alice Irwin Ash

I'm trying to locate (verify) information on Israel Irwin, wife Margaret Trego and daughter Alice Irwin Ash.
According to family records, Alice Irwin was married to John P. Ash. He died in Alton Il 04/08/1872. I have been able to document his information and heirs. Alice is another story.
I have an 1894 biography that states the following about Alice and her family line;
"Mrs Alice Ash was born in Adams County, PA March 23, 1793 and died in Alton in 1852. Her father Israel Irwin was a native of the Keystone state, and of Irish decent. He was married to Margaret, a daughter of Joseph Trego, who was also born in Chester County, the date thereof being Feburary 2, 1767. Joseph Trego was born may 14, 1722, and was the son of William Trego, whose birth took place in Pennsylvania July 3, 1693. He was the son of Peter and Judith Trego, who in 1681 came to this country with William Penn, from whom he purchased a tract of fifty acers of land in Middletown". "Middletown" is an area of Alton, IL.
Do any of this sound familiar? Does anyone have any documentation to verify the information?
I'm also going to post this in the IRWIN forum.
Thanks.
Ted Ash
