Susan:

I have done significant research on the Treffeisen family. From all of the information that I have been able to collect, I strongly believe that Matthias Treffeisen was the son of Christoff 'Stoffel' Treffe˙sen / Dreffeisen and his wife Marggreth Binginen. In 1640 and 1648, Christoff is listed as residing in Gallenweiler, and when the existing Gallenweiler records begin, only Matthias and his family appear to be residing there. More information on this family can be found at http://www.gentree.com/treffeisen/
