We have now likely located one of my Treeby's that was in Liverpool, as he appears to be the only one by that name there. Our letter states that Harry and Lydia lived in Liverpool with "children" in 1852. Henry Christopher Treeby was born(by IGI listings) 4 June 1827; chr 6 aug 1827 in Morrice Street, Wesleyan church, Devonport(part of Plymouth), Devon, England to Henry and Elizabeth. Henry md Lydia Ann born about 1827 in Plymouth. Henry Jr. and senior were custom officiers. known children: Lydia Elizabeth about 1850-Plymouth Henry Josiah/Harry born about 1855 Liverpool Charles Samuel born 18 Sept 1859 St. Peter's, Liverpool Frederick Morris 11 Oct 1863 St. Peter's, Liverpool I believe it is possible that the following from the West Derby records are part of the above family. Henry Thomas burial June 1854 Sarah born June 1857 William born Sept 1861, died March 1866. I now believe that the name Joe, who signed the letter, was a Josiah. Josiah Treeby,25, was an Inland Revenue Officier from Dublin in 1853 when he married the widow, Hepzibal Hewitt Cussly age 32. His father was Henry, hers was Samuel Revell. There is also a burial in the Portsea area, where the md took place, in Dec that year of a Josiah Treeby. I am trying to get in some btz records for Devonport that contain the above records, plus look for the known children. Notify Administrator about this message?
