I am interested in your TREAT and UTTER lineage. I dont beleive these two names would be related but its soooo unusual to see these two names & places conected in my lineage. Here goes :
On My Dad's side :
My Gr Gr Grandmother was NANCY JANE TREAT (b 1834 Allegany, NY). Married JOSEPH O. DILDINE about 1855 in NY. From there they moved to Roscommon Michigan sometime after their first born EMMA. Once in Michigan they had HENRY (b 1857), ANDREW (B 1859), WILLIAM ((B 1860) & my Gr Grandmother JENNIE (B 1870). I suspect NANCY was orphaned at a young age as there is little known about her younger years. On her death certificate the informant names her father as JOSEPH & names no mother.
On My Mother's side :
My Gr Gr Grandparents JOHN ELKIN & MARY KING had a daughter MABLE ELKIN (b 1888 in Oswego, NY) who married HARRY R. UTTER in August 1912. His parents were GEORGE UTTER & LYDIA PETERSON.
If any of this sounds familiar,I would be happy to share info with you.
Phyllis Z.
