We have found photographs in the estate of my mother-in-law. Many are unlabeled. Some that are labeled have yet to be tied to the family.
These photos are mounted on cardboard and done by a studio. One is labeled "Uncle Natt Treadwell". It was done by a studio in Salem, MA, probably in the late 1800's. I believe this to be Nathaniel Treadwell, age 54, leather manuf. on the 1880 Census in Salem, MA.
Also included is a photo of "Aunt Esther Whitney" and "Arthur Whitney" (Esther's son). I believe Esther is the Esther Treadwell that married Joel Whitney.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Will be happy to email copies if you are related.
