Sarah Rosanna Traywick, daughter of Berryman Jr.

Berryman Traywick Jr had a daughter Sarah Rosa (Rosann, Rosana), who had one son but was never married. The son, Zachariah Taylor Traywick, was my greatgrandfather (born 1859). I have all the census information, but would love to know if anyone knows any family lore about how this came about. In the 1870 census there's also a Calop (probably John Caleb) age 3, who's a grandson. Anyone know anything about these two?
