Hi your James Traynor is in my line he is found in the listings of United Empire Loyalist.

NOTE: In Ontario, one point on Fifth Depeau Lake is known as:

TRAINER POINT (Locally only) as James and Emily owned the land the pointis on. They lived at the Sheffield-Portland Border. This informationcomes from the Church Records in Centerville, Ontario

James was the first Traynor child of Thomas Traynor and Mary Finnigan born outside of Ireland. He was baptised 12 July 1848 in St. Anthony's RC Church Centreville Ontario. Sponsers for this event where John Green and Bridget Trainor and Priest John O'Neil.

James grew up in a one story shanty in Hitchenbrook Township Frontenac County Ontario Canada.

It appears that Emily didn't become a catholic until 28 December 1872 this looks like it was for the purpose of marriage. James and Emilys first child was born in the United States of America and the rest of their children were born on Canadian Soil.

James and Emily lived in Harvey Township arriving between 1878 - 1881 there son James was baptised in Centreville Ontario Canada.
Found in 1891 Census Peterborough County district 109 k Harvey
Kawartha Branch 1891 Census indexing project 2000.

#4 TRAINER (TRAYNOR), James male 50 married, Ontario, Ireland, Ireland, Roman Catholic, Lumberman and farmer.

As for his wife Emily she was the daughter of of Zachariah Snider and Amelia Milligan it appears that they were not RC. This is based on the fact that Emily wasn't baptised catholic until she was about to marry James Traynor. She was baptised 28 December 1872.
Her great Grandfather Zachariah Snider was a United Empire Loyalist.
Found in 1891 Census Peterborough County district 109 k Harvey
