In a Mobile AL Press for 1853, Messrs. Trawick & Dunkley are listed on the steamboat "Heroine" passenger manifest and appear to be travelling together.

Green Berry Lee Dunkley was living in Lauderdale Co, MS at this time and appears from other documents to be going to Clarke Co, AL where his wife's family was from.

It seems that your Trawicks (example Hugh Floyd Trawick) were living in Lauderdale Co, MS in 1853 and that Hugh was born in Clarke Co, AL.

I don't recognize any of the names that you have mentioned in your postings, but there is a Trawick & Dunkley connection long after 1853. Green Berry Lee Dunkley's son Samuel Sylvester Dunkley moved with his widowed mother back to her home in Clarke Co, AL. There he married Carline Hall, daughter of Jackson M. Hall & Miriam Allen in 1874. [They named their first daughter Josephine, not a Dunkley family name, but I notice that you do have it in your family.] Their youngest daughter Mary Dunkley b. Wilcox Co, AL in 1884 married a TRAWICK, but we don't know who. But I would think it would be someone from your clan.

Any ideas who married Mary Dunkley sometime between 1900 -1930 in Alabama? They did not have children. Sometime after 1930 she married a Mr. Lotz.
