Eli (Elijah) TRAVIS : son of Elijah Travis and Sarah Wiley, Born: about 1780 (he was 70 years of
age according to the 1850 census) of Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York. Eli Travis
married April 16th of 1806 to Martha Patty LENT, Born: 1796 the daughter of Matthew and
Sarah LENT. The marriage was performed by Rev. Silas Constant, Yorktown, Westchester
County. Eli and Martha (LENT) Travis were the parents of the following

Yorktown, Westchester County, New York. His will is dated Sept. 9th 1804, proved Oct.8,1804.
Joshua TRAVIS is buried in Crompound Cemetery of Yorktown, age 75 years. Joshua married
Mariam or Miriam (surname unknown ) Joshua and Mariam TRAVIS had the following known

PERRY. Joshua TRAVIS'S earmark was a slise under the side of the right ear, hole in the left
ear. Nov. 4,1773. His will mentions wife Mariam, children Ananias, Jemima, Ferris,
grandaughters , Noah, Miriba Wilburk, grandson Samuel Wilburk, , son Stephen, " and I order
my son Stephen his share to remain in my executor's hands and for him to have use of it, and if
he shall have heirs , then he shall recieve his full share". Also names Joshua, Eligah, David,
Mary, and daughter Mary Stuart, daughter Esther Perry, Also names grandaughter Elizabeth

White Plains, then to Yorktown, formerly Crompound, 2 miles east of Peekskill. first wife

second time to Elizabeth FOWLER. she was the daughter of Jeremiah FOWLER and Sarah
