MD probate archives has Col Henry Traverse, Dorchester Co, MD having LW&T dated 9 Dec 1765 and probated 21 Aug 1766. Names wife Ann and children: Levin, Mary, Henry, John Hicks, William, Sarah, Nancy, Emelia and Purcilla (sic)and several grand children. It mentions his ship "Speedwell" and several tracts of land. Can anyone identify surname of wife, Ann? Was he married more than once? Why was the estate probated again in 1771? Please contact me direct: JDC@tampabay.rr.com.
