Eleanor,
Hello. I also descend through Napoleon and Lydia, but through their son Jerome. Lydia was born 15 April 1820 in Licking Co., Ohio. I believe they married in Licking Co., Ohio also. Lydia died 17 August 1889 in Clark Co.,Illinois. I believe she and Napoleon are buried in Livingston Ceme. in Clark Co., Illinois. Lydia was the daughter of John Larabee and Dorthy Smith.
My line is doubly descended from the Larabee's because Jerome married Eliza Lararbee who was Lydia's niece through her brother Sylvester. So Jerome and Eliza were first cousins (kind of disgusting I think although I know it was common).
Do you have all the info on Napoleon and Lydia's children? I've got it if you need it. Maybe with two heads we could figure out the Larabee lineage. I have put a message about Sylvester and Lydia on the Larabee genforum but I haven't received any response.
I have sheets about the Dominic and Abigail Chase family through my grandmother that are copies from the History of Crawford and Clark Co. Illiois book. But I figured you probably already have them. Do you have pictures of gravestones? I know Dominic and Abigail are in Black Ceme. in Clark Co.
Let me know if I can help you anymore, and do you think I could get copies of the gravestones even if they are xerox copies?
Thank you,
Amie Boone
