I am looking for information on Karolina/Caroline Trautmann b abt 1839 in Urlussen (Urloffen?)in Baden who married George Stöcklin. I have recently encountered the Trautmann surname during my search of my Stoecklin line. George is the older brother of my gr-gr-grandfather, Jacob Stöcklin; they were from Benken, Basel Canton, Switzerland and left Switzerland for the US, according to the family story, in 1850 and 1854. Jacob lived the remainder of his life in Hamilton County, Ohio, and George lived the remainder of his life in Campbell County, Kentucky.
I do not know when Caroline immigrated to the US although she is married with 2 children in Campbell County, KY in the 1860 census. The first child was born about 1856 in KY. She and George have 6 children in Campbell County, KY in the 1870 census (there may have been a 7th child who did not survive). Birth of her last child was about 1869. Apparently, Caroline must have died about 1870 after the census. In the 1900 census, George and his wife (named Sophia in 1880 and 1900) state they have been married 30 years.
