Hello Peter:

I saw your posting on the Trautmann's and it caught my eye. I am a grand daughter of Ludwig Trautmann as well (My mother Audrey Trautmann's father was Rudolf Trautman, son of Ludwig and Katherine ZImmerle.)

I too have been doing some research on this interesting family. Along with Judy Ferris (Ruth Trautmann's daughter) we think we have solved many of these mysteries about the Trautmans..) I can e-mail you all sorts of information if you would like..I also have some wonderful pictures of this family.

I'm not sure that Ludwig came through Ellis Island..That doesn't quite match up with what Judy and I have learned..and i have ALL the husband's that Katherine married.. I think the first being Peter Serr and then someone w. the last name "Reich" --

Anyway. I have their obits if you would like me to pass them along.

Anyway. Greetings to a fellow Trautman!

Kerry Thompson
